The Clinician Behind Mood

For years, I watched the same small group of nutrients
change how patients thought, felt, and functioned.
Mood is what I formulated around those three —
what continues to surprise me is how consistently
patients confirm what I've been seeing all along.

Her work

Nearly four decades of listening to patients.

Dr. Ann Doggett has spent nearly four decades as a chiropractic physician and clinical nutritionist in Braintree, Massachusetts. Her practice — Wholebody Solutions — has always been built on a simple principle: spend more time with the patient than the prescription pad.

Over the years that practice has become a quiet observatory. Patients arrive with brain fog, cognitive shifts, mood changes, fatigue, circulatory concerns, autoimmune flares — and Dr. Ann's role has been to ask deeper questions and find what's missing. Often, what's missing is nutritional.

This observation — that the right small group of nutrients, given consistently, can change the trajectory of how a patient thinks and feels — became the foundation for Mood.

Patients kept telling me the same things — pill fatigue, budget concerns, the burden of taking three separate products a day. What they wanted was something simpler.

— Dr. Ann, on the origin of Mood

Why Mood

The product I would have given my own patients on day one.

By the time I sat down to formulate Mood, I had decades of clinical evidence telling me what was working. The same three nutrients — microdosed lithium orotate, a nitric oxide precursor, and NAC — kept appearing in the protocols that produced the most consistent improvement in cognition and overall wellbeing.

Each one was already known to support multiple body systems. Together, they made something I'd been looking for: a single capsule designed to support brain function, heart and circulatory health, the liver's detoxification pathways, and the body's everyday defense systems.

One formula. Two capsules a day. Three nutrients, doing the work of many.

Who Mood is for

Anyone whose day depends on staying focused and feeling like themselves.

The 20-something studying for exams. The professional pushing through demanding workdays. The parent juggling everything at once. The older adult noticing memory feels a step slower than it used to.

Mood was built for the systems that carry their day — and the people relying on those systems to show up.

A natural alternative to caffeine or stimulants — designed to support cognition and focus throughout the day, without the crash.

What I've seen in clinic

The nutrient that changed how I think about brain health.

Microdosed lithium orotate is at the center of Mood, and it was the ingredient that most challenged me at first. The word "lithium" carries decades of stigma from high-dose psychiatric prescribing — most people hear it and picture a drug, not a mineral. The form and dose in Mood are a fundamentally different proposition. The more I've looked into the research on low-dose lithium, the more grounded I've felt using it in my practice.

What changed how I thought about brain health was watching what happened in clinic. The impact was consistent, and often dramatic. Patients regaining clarity. Memory holding steadier. Focus returning. Mood lifting in ways that felt sustainable.

A few small examples from clinic — patient details have been anonymized.

Observation 1

A mother ordered Mood for her son — he'd been navigating bipolar for years, and she wanted to try something alongside his existing care. She called me a couple of weeks later. He'd told her he felt like himself again. Not a different person. Himself. The mood stability had settled in that quickly.

Observation 2

A former employee of mine came back to me years ago as part of the amends work in her recovery — a bright, deeply capable woman who had been struggling with cycles of relapse. I suggested a microdose of lithium alongside everything else she was doing. She's now eight years without relapse. Her life became stable enough to marry and have a child — and she's the first to say her recovery has taken a lot of factors and a lot of work, but she also tells me the treatment has played a real part.

Observation 3

One patient — a high-powered, high-strung guy in his 50s — started Mood without expecting much. A few weeks in, he showed up at the Audi dealership for what turned into a four-hour service instead of two. Usually that would set him off. Instead, he just answered emails and waited. He came in and told me about it, genuinely struck by his own reaction. He's shared moments like it since — a shift that isn't subtle, and one he isn't taking for granted.

From observation to formula
